Commission conclusion

The commission of Dneprovagonrembud JSC recorded: “The results obtained on the restoration of TRKP gearbox No. 0935 by XADO technology show that this technology makes it possible to restore the tooth thickness of the gears to the parameters required by Repair Manual R 4684 RV, 1986, and also that the radial clearances in the ball bearings of this gearbox have been reduced”. The gearbox came in for testing with teeth worn below the tolerance field: the most worn point — 3.5 mm against the drawing value of 4.16 mm. That same point gave the largest gain, and the point that had kept its size gave the smallest: the coating builds up where the metal is worn away and stops at the drawing nominal.
