by the plant commissionsigned by three specialists of the Chief Mechanic's Department and the shop, approved by the chief mechanic, sealed
Key result
| EQUIPMENT | CONDITION AT THE START OF WORK | WHAT WAS MEASURED |
|---|---|---|
| Stripper crane No. 3, TsPS shop | Hollow shaft worn by 60 % according to measurements taken before treatment | Hollow shaft tooth parameters |
Hollow shaft: measurement before treatment and inspection 70 days later
| PARAMETER | BEFORE TREATMENT, 05.09.2000 | INSPECTION, 14.11.2000 |
|---|---|---|
| Hollow shaft tooth parameters | Measured by the plant commission | Unchanged |
| Hollow shaft wear | 60 % — wear accumulated over the service life | Added wear over the period — 0 % |
Measurements before treatment and at the inspection were taken by the commission of the Chief Mechanic's Department of Ilyich MMK; the report was approved by the chief mechanic and certified with a seal.
Course of the work and the commission's decision
| STAGE | DATE | DETAILS |
|---|---|---|
| Treatment | 05–07.09.2000 | Stripper ram and hollow shaft treated with XADO RVS technology in three stages |
| Service | 05.09–14.11.2000 | 70 days of crane operation using XADO technology |
| Inspection | 14.11.2000 | Plant commission: hollow shaft tooth parameters unchanged |
| Next inspection | in 2 months | Scheduled by the commission — together with an analysis of the economic efficiency of the technology |
Commission's conclusion
This concerns a unit already worn out when the work began: before treatment, measurements showed 60 % wear of the hollow shaft. The compound was introduced not into a new mechanism, but into a worn one that continued to carry the regular load of the stripper crane.
The plant considered the result sufficient to continue observation: the commission found it necessary to “carry out the next inspection of the hollow shaft and stripper ram of stripper crane No. 3 in 2 months, together with an analysis of the economic efficiency of the XADO technology”.
The results refer to the stripper ram and hollow shaft of stripper crane No. 3 at Ilyich MMK and to the observation period 05.09–14.11.2000; on other units and duty cycles the figures may differ. RVS is an obsolete XADO designation for zero-generation compounds; the current product generation is revitalizants. The original report with signatures and seal is published in full and available for download.
