Laboratory conclusion
The UkrNIIPIT testing laboratory recorded: the results of the preliminary tests of driveshaft 31.12.25.1140.1455.13.13 for rated service life under continuous rated loading with a torque of 450 N·m, a rotational speed of 16.7 s⁻¹ (1000 rpm) and an operating angle of 0.262 rad (15°) show that the rated service life of the tested driveshaft exceeded 500 hours, which meets the requirements of GOST 13758-89. No failures or malfunctions were noted during the tests; the final technical examination showed that the shaft is in serviceable condition. The side surfaces of the cross journals show minor wear in the direction of the forces from the load; at the same time, the journal surfaces of the cross periodically greased with Litol-24 oil wore more than the journal surfaces of the cross with a single grease pack.
The results relate to driveshaft 31.12.25.1140.1455.13.13 of size 31 and to the UkrNIIPIT rig test conditions (450 N·m, 1000 rpm, operating angle 15°); under other loads and duty cycles, the figures may differ.
