Bearing No. 180604 came in for treatment with a radial clearance of 0.25 mm and an axial clearance of 0.1 mm: for a rolling bearing this is wear, not a factory tolerance. After treatment with XADO technology the act records 0.03 mm and 0.02 mm on that same bearing — the clearance was closed not by fitting a new part, but by metal built up on the rolling surfaces where it had been lost. This is how the revitalizant works: the coating is self-regulating under load, it grows in the worn zone and does not grow where there is no wear. For the plant this means that a worn bearing went back into service without replacement.
