Two-stroke engines
Treatment applies to serviceable two-stroke engines of motorcycles, outboard motors, and household equipment. XADO revitalizant gel for household and motorcycle equipment is introduced in stages using three sachets — into the fuel tank or into the oil system, depending on the design of the fuel and lubrication systems.
Procedure for treating two-stroke internal combustion engines (motorcycle, outboard, and household equipment engines)
What is treated
- Serviceable two-stroke internal combustion engines (motorcycle, outboard, and household equipment engines).
- Two-stroke engines with a combined fuel and lubrication system — the gel is introduced into the fuel tank.
- Two-stroke engines with separate fuel and lubrication systems — the gel is introduced into the engine oil system.
When treatment is not performed
- Engines having parts with 100% wear are not subject to treatment.
- Engines with mechanically damaged parts are not subject to treatment.
Preparation
- To completely remove varnish deposits on the pistons and piston rings, it is recommended to decarbonize the cylinder-piston group with VERYLUBE "Antikoks" before starting the treatment.
- Warm the engine up to operating temperature.
- For combined systems, the contents of the sachet may first be diluted in a small amount of oil or petrol at a temperature of 20°C, and the mixture then added to the fuel tank.
- For separate systems, the contents of the sachet may first be dissolved in a small amount of the engine's regular oil at a temperature of 40°C, and the mixture then added to the engine oil system.
What is measured before and after
| Parameter | Instrument | How and when |
|---|---|---|
| Engine operating time, hours | not specified | Monitored between stages (not less than 3 hours) and until completion of the treatment (not less than 30 hours). |
| Mileage, km | not specified | Alternative to operating time: 150–250 km between stages for separate systems, not less than 1500 km until completion of the treatment. |
| Engine temperature | not specified | Before the gel is introduced, the engine is warmed up to operating temperature. |
Dosage rates
| Compound | Rate | How and when |
|---|---|---|
| XADO revitalizant gel for household and motorcycle equipment | contents of one sachet into a full fuel tank | Engines with a combined fuel and lubrication system; three sachets in total — at three consecutive fill-ups of a full tank. |
| XADO revitalizant gel for household and motorcycle equipment | contents of the 1st sachet into the oil filler neck | Engines with separate fuel and lubrication systems; three sachets in total — the second and third are introduced into the oil system after not less than 3 hours of operating time or 150–250 km of mileage each. |
| XADO revitalizant gel for household and motorcycle equipment | the recommended dose must be doubled | When treating engines with a displacement of more than 1.0 L (1000 cm³). |
| VERYLUBE "Antikoks" | 1 tube (volume 10.0 ml) per 1 cylinder | Decarbonization of the cylinder-piston group before starting the gel treatment; the application procedure is per the instructions on the package. |
Treatment stages
- Combined systems (clause 23.2.1): warm the engine up to operating temperature.
- Combined systems (clause 23.2.2): squeeze the contents of one sachet into a full fuel tank. The contents of the sachet may first be diluted in a small amount of oil or petrol at a temperature of 20°C and the mixture added to the fuel tank.
- Combined systems (clause 23.2.3): operate the engine in the normal manner.until the fuel in the tank is used up
- Combined systems (clause 23.2.4): once the fuel in the tank has been used up, fill the tank completely and introduce the contents of the second sachet in the same manner.
- Combined systems (clause 23.2.5): introduce the third sachet of gel in the same manner at the next fuel fill-up.
- Combined systems (clause 23.2.6): the engine treatment is considered complete.operating time of not less than 30 hours or mileage of not less than 1500 km
- Separate systems (clause 23.3.1): warm the engine up to operating temperature.
- Separate systems (clause 23.3.2): squeeze the contents of the 1st sachet into the oil filler neck. The contents of the sachet may first be dissolved in a small amount of the engine's regular oil at a temperature of 40°C and the mixture then added to the engine oil system.
- Separate systems (clause 23.3.3): start the engine and let it run at idle.2 minutes
- Separate systems (clause 23.3.4): then operate the engine in the normal manner.
- Separate systems (clause 22.3.5 as printed in the source): introduce the second sachet of XADO revitalizant gel for household and motorcycle equipment into the engine oil system in the same manner.after operating time of not less than 3 hours or mileage of 150-250 km
- Separate systems (clause 23.3.6): introduce the third sachet of gel into the engine oil system.after the second sachet has been introduced and operating time of not less than 3 hours or mileage of 150-250 km
- Separate systems (clause 23.3.7): the treatment is considered complete.operating time of not less than 30 hours or mileage of not less than 1500 km
After treatment
- The treatment is considered complete after the engine has accumulated not less than 30 hours of operating time or not less than 1500 km of mileage.
Points to watch
- When treating engines with a displacement of more than 1.0 L (1000 cm³), the recommended dose must be doubled.
- The application procedure for VERYLUBE "Antikoks" is per the instructions on the package.
