Engine Fuel Systems
The fuel systems of diesel and petrol engines are treated by a single addition of XADO revitalizant gel for fuel equipment into the fuel tank. The purpose is restorative repair and wear protection of fuel equipment components without disassembly, under normal operating conditions.
Procedure for treating the fuel systems of diesel and petrol engines with XADO revitalizant gel
What is treated
- Serviceable fuel systems of any type.
- Fuel systems that have no components with 100% wear or mechanical damage.
- Fuel systems of diesel engines — it is recommended that the treatment be carried out with fuel matching the season.
When treatment is not performed
- Fuel systems having components with 100% wear or mechanical damage are not subject to treatment.
- Additional (non-standard) filtering devices may reduce the effectiveness of revitalization.
Preparation
- Prepare the required quantity of XADO revitalizant gel for the fuel equipment of diesel and petrol engines in accordance with tables 24.1 and 24.2, depending on the engine displacement.
- To achieve maximum effectiveness of the high-pressure fuel pump revitalization, before treating the fuel system of a diesel engine it is recommended to flush the fuel system with "Complex fuel system cleaner for diesel engines Verylube JET 100" or with the complex fuel system cleaning agent "DIESEL-LUX".
- To achieve maximum revitalization effect, before treating the fuel system of a petrol engine it is recommended to flush the fuel system with the complex cleaner "Benzobak" or with "Complex fuel system cleaner for petrol engines Verylube JET 100".
- Carry out the treatment after the fuel containing the fuel system cleaner has been used up.
Dosage rates
| Compound | Rate | How and when |
|---|---|---|
| XADO revitalizant gel for the fuel equipment of diesel engines | As per table 24.1 "Consumption rate of XADO revitalizant gel for high-pressure fuel pumps of industrial diesel engines" — number of tubes or aerosol cans per fuel tank depending on engine displacement (l): up to 5; 5-15; 15-30; 30-75; 75-100; 100-140; 140-175; 175-200; 200-225; 225-260; 260-300 | The numeric values in the "number of tubes or aerosol cans" column are illegible in the recognized text and are not given. Add into the fuel tank containing a minimum amount of fuel. |
| XADO revitalizant gel for the fuel equipment of petrol engines | Engine displacement up to 6 l — 1 aerosol can per fuel tank; over 6 l — 2 aerosol cans per fuel tank (table 24.2) | Rate for industrial engines. Add into the fuel tank containing a minimum amount of fuel. |
| XADO revitalizant gel for fuel equipment (double rate) | Double the recommended rate | In case of severe wear of fuel system components (over 50%). |
| Complex fuel system cleaner for diesel engines Verylube JET 100 | 250 ml per 50 l of diesel fuel | Added into the fuel tank to flush the fuel system before treatment. |
| Complex fuel system cleaning agent "DIESEL-LUX" | 1 tube of 10 ml per 20 l of diesel fuel | Added into the fuel tank to flush the fuel system before treatment. |
| Complex cleaner "Benzobak" | 1 tube of 10.0 ml per 20 l of petrol | Added into the fuel tank to flush the fuel system of a petrol engine before treatment. |
| Complex fuel system cleaner for petrol engines Verylube JET 100 | 250 ml per 50 l of petrol | Added into the fuel tank to flush the fuel system of a petrol engine before treatment. |
Treatment stages
- Prepare the required quantity of XADO revitalizant gel for fuel equipment as per tables 24.1 and 24.2 depending on the engine displacement and add it into the fuel tank containing a minimum amount of fuel. The treatment is carried out in one stage.
- Fill the tank with fuel.
- Operate the engine in the normal mode.80 engine hours of operation or 4000 km of mileage
After treatment
- Revitalization is considered complete after 80 engine hours of operation or 4000 km of mileage.
Points to watch
- A characteristic sign that revitalization has begun is an improvement in the operation of the mechanism (reduced noise level, vibration and exhaust smoke) as early as after 10 hours of engine operation.
- If after 10 hours of operation (or 500 km of mileage) no improvement in the operation of the mechanism occurs, the most likely cause is an erroneous diagnosis.
- Additional (non-standard) filtering devices may reduce the effectiveness of revitalization.
- In case of severe wear of fuel system components (over 50%), the recommended rate must be doubled.
Compounds for these units
