Repair of hydraulic machines on a test bench

The appendix defines the procedure for restorative repair of axial-piston and radial-piston hydraulic machines with XADO revitalizants on a hydraulic test bench. It applies to the treatment of pumps and hydraulic motors removed from the machine and mounted on the bench.

Appendix 2. Procedure for restorative repair of axial-piston and radial-piston hydraulic machines with XADO revitalizant compounds on a hydraulic test bench

General provisions

• Treatment of hydraulic machines with XADO revitalizants is not advisable when the limiting wear exceeds 100% (a drop in volumetric efficiency of more than 15-18%).
• The appendix presents the bench layout for restorative repair of pumps and the bench layout for restorative repair of hydraulic motors.

Procedure

1. Before starting the treatment, measure the main monitored operating parameters of the hydraulic machines: working pressure in the system; overall efficiency (by measuring leakage from the drain port) for hydraulic motors; mechanical losses (by pressure differential) for hydraulic motors; delivery rate.Parameters must be monitored under various operating and temperature modes of diagnostics.
2. Determine the volume of working fluid (oil) for the hydraulic test bench using the formula: Vм = 100Vн, where Vн is the displacement of the hydraulic machine (l), Vм is the volume of oil in the bench oil tank (l).But not less than 35 l.
3. Maintain the working oil temperature within the range of 40 - 60 °C.
4. Determine the amount of XADO gel for hydraulic systems at the rate of 1 ml per 1 litre of working fluid for one stage.
5. Carry out the treatment in 3 stages with an interval of 8 hours.For new hydraulic machines (in order to shorten the run-in time and improve run-in quality, achieve higher technical characteristics, and also to increase the wear resistance and service life of the friction pairs), 2 treatment stages are sufficient.
6. Apply the loading modes of the hydraulic machine during treatment with XADO revitalizants according to the following pattern: 1st treatment stage — from 0-2 hours P = 0.5P nom; from 2-8 hours P = 1.0P nom. The 2nd and 3rd treatment stages are carried out in the same way as the 1st stage.The rotation speed of the hydraulic machine during the treatment period must correspond to 80-85% of the nominal rotation speed.
7. The full treatment cycle is not less than 350 hours from the beginning of the first stage.

Notes

• Designations on the bench layouts: Н — pump being restored; МН — pressure gauge; М — hydraulic motor being restored; ТТ — thermometer; РП — flow regulator (throttle); Б — oil tank; КД — pressure valve.
• The technical characteristics of hydraulic machines are determined by the manufacturer at a temperature of 30 °C.
