AZV250LV5/1 hydraulic pump
The pump is removed from the press and treated on a test bench. Displacement 250 cm³, delivery 360 L/min, 30 kW.
AZV250LV5/1 axial piston hydraulic pump of a brick press: treatment on a separate test bench
The class standard is 0.6 mL per liter in 6 stages. On the bench the engineer prescribed 1.0 mL/L in 3 stages: the tank volume is known in advance, and the operating mode is held constant. Hydraulic systems of industrial equipment →
What is treated
- A hydraulic pump with wear of less than 100 %; worn or failed parts are replaced before treatment.
What is measured before and after
| Parameter | Instrument | How and when |
|---|---|---|
| Pressure generated by the pump at a fixed delivery | pressure gauge | Speed and working fluid temperature are held fixed. |
| Maximum delivery at a fixed pressure | flow meter | — |
| Power consumption or current of the electric motor | clamp meter, wattmeter | At the minimum fixed delivery and pressure. |
| Pressure differential between inlet and outlet | pressure gauges | At a fixed delivery and fluid temperature. |
| Vibration level of the pump housing | vibrometer | At fixed points. |
| Intermediate measurements every 25 operating hours | the same set of instruments | They show how the restoration is progressing and when the parameters have reached rated values. |
Dosage rates
| Compound | Rate | How and when |
|---|---|---|
| Power steering gel | 1.0 mL per 1 liter of oil per stage | Bench with a 200 L bath: 200 mL per stage, 600 mL for three stages. |
Treatment stages
- Add the calculated amount of gel to the oil bath of the test bench and start the pump in the specified mode.Start of operating-hours count
- Second stage — the same as the first. Not earlier than after 8 hours of operation
- Third stage — the same as the first. After another 8 hours
After treatment
- The full cycle on the bench is 400 hours from the first stage.
- It is permissible to finish earlier if pressure and delivery have reached rated values.
Points to watch
- Requirements for the test bench: an oil bath of at least 250 L (nominally 1100 L — three times the pump delivery), relief and pressure-reducing valves, precise shaft alignment when a rigid coupling is used.
- Treatment mode: delivery no more than 70 L/min, pressure no more than 80 % of maximum, fluid temperature 50–65 °C.
- If the parameters have stabilized ahead of schedule, bench treatment may be ended — it will continue in normal service even without the compound in the working fluid.
