Analysis of production defects
Industrial test cases grouped by defect type: instruments, operating modes and before-and-after values taken from the text of the original document; the document type is stated on the case card.
Seven key defects are grouped by the nature of the initial request from technical services. Where several parameters were recorded within a single test, the corresponding report is included in each relevant category.
For each category the following is provided:
- physical and mechanical nature of the defect;
- measurement procedure and scheme;
- range and median values of change across the full sample of direct measurements;
- a selection of 15 reports with the largest recorded change;
- boundary conditions and limits of applicability of the technology.
Comparison guideline: where several deviations are present, begin the analysis with the parameter for which baseline metrics have already been taken on your equipment. A correct assessment of the effect is possible only by comparing identical physical quantities under identical operating modes.
