Main marine gearbox
Both the gear trains and the hydraulic components run in the same oil sump — this determines the choice of formulation.

What is treated
- A serviceable gearbox with no parts at 100 % wear and without macromechanical damage.
- Oil leaks have been eliminated — otherwise the concentration of the formulation will not hold.
What is measured before and after

Dosage rates

Treatment stages
- Dilute the gel in the standard oil at 40–60 °C and introduce it through the inspection hatch or the oil filler opening, or directly onto the working surfaces of the gears.Then 8–12 hours of operation
- The second stage is the same as the first.After 8 hours of cumulative operating time
- The third stage is the same as the first.After another 8 hours
After treatment
- The full cycle is no less than 450 hours of cumulative operating time.
Points to watch
- If wear exceeds 100 %, the failed parts are replaced before treatment begins.
- The maximum gearbox temperature is measured with a non-contact pyrometer at rated load.
