Treatment methods

Twenty-four methods from the XADO factory instruction IE-24.6-25612000-005-2008: what is treated, what to measure before and after, with which instrument, how much compound per litre of oil and what running time between stages. The text follows the document; dosage rates are quoted verbatim. Source document is in Russian.

Method 1

Piston compressors

The procedure describes restorative repair and wear protection of piston compressors without shutting down for repair and without disassembly. The treatment is carried out by adding XADO revitalizant gel in stages to the standard crankcase oil and, if a lubricator is fitted, additionally to the lubricator oil.

Method 2

Screw and centrifugal compressors

The procedure describes the stage-by-stage introduction of "XADO revitalizant gel for compressors and bearings (industrial)" into the standard oil of screw and centrifugal compressors. The purpose of the treatment is restorative repair and wear protection without stopping or disassembling the compressor.

Method 3

Screw compressors without an oil pump

The procedure describes the treatment of operable screw compressors with a lubrication system without an oil pump using XADO revitalizant gel for compressors and bearings (industrial), without shutdown or disassembly. The purpose is restorative repair and wear protection, with monitoring of vibration and power consumption before and after treatment.

Method 4

Industrial reducers and transmissions

The procedure describes the treatment of industrial reducers, manual gearboxes and transmission units of trucks and special-purpose vehicles with XADO revitalizant gel without shutting down for repair and without changing the oil. The purpose of the treatment is to restore the working surfaces of the gear wheels and to protect them from further wear.

Method 5

Gearboxes with oil filtration

The procedure applies to gearboxes and transmissions whose lubrication system provides oil filtration and (or) oil moisture separation, as well as to gearboxes with hydraulic system elements in a common oil bath. The treatment is carried out without shutting down for repair and without changing the oil, in order to restore the working surfaces of the gear wheels and protect them against wear.

Method 6

Automatic transmissions (AT)

The method describes the treatment of automatic transmissions (AT) with "XADO revitalizant gel for automatic transmissions" by introducing the gel into the oil filler neck. The treatment is performed without disassembly; the vehicle is then operated in the normal mode.

Method 7

Hydraulic systems of industrial equipment

Hydraulic systems of industrial equipment, vehicles and special-purpose machinery are subject to treatment. The purpose is to restore and protect hydraulic drive components against wear without replacing the working fluid and without disassembly.

Method 8

Vehicle power steering systems

Vehicle power steering systems are subject to treatment. The purpose is restorative repair and wear protection of the power steering hydraulic system components without disassembly, under normal operating conditions.

Method 9

Rolling bearings, oil-lubricated

Bearing assemblies with rolling bearings lubricated with oil are treated without disassembly and without changing the oil. The purpose is to restore the working surfaces and to protect the bearings against further wear under normal operating conditions.

Method 10

Oil-lubricated plain bearings

The procedure describes the treatment of bearing assemblies with plain bearings lubricated with oil using XADO revitalizant gel for compressors and bearings (industrial). The purpose is to restore and protect friction surfaces without stopping or disassembling the assembly.

Method 11

Open Gear and Chain Drives

Open gear and chain drives lubricated with grease or with metered oil lubrication are subject to treatment. The purpose is restorative repair and protection of the working surfaces of teeth, sprockets and chains against wear without shutdown for repair.

Method 12

Lathe-group machine tools

The procedure describes the treatment of serviceable assemblies of lathe-group machine tools — spindle units, speed and feed gearboxes, lead screws, guideways and hydraulic systems — with XADO revitalizant gels, without disassembly and without oil change. The purpose of the treatment is the restoration and protection of friction surfaces under normal operating conditions of the machine tool.

Method 13

Milling machine group

The procedure describes the treatment with XADO revitalizant gels of milling machine assemblies — the speed gearbox and spindle unit, the feed gearbox with the knee gears and bearings, the lead screws, the guideways and the hydraulic systems. The treatment is carried out without stopping for repair, without disassembly and without changing the oil, by introducing the calculated amount of gel into the standard oil in stages.

Method 14

Surface grinding machines

The hydraulic system, the grinding head spindle bearings and the ways of the surface grinding machine are subject to treatment. The purpose is restorative repair and protection of friction surfaces against wear without stopping the machine for repair and without disassembly.

Method 15

Cylindrical grinding machines

The hydraulic system, the grinding head and headstock mechanisms and the guideways of the cylindrical grinding machine are subject to treatment. The purpose is restorative repair and wear protection of friction surfaces without shutting the machine down for repair and without disassembly.

Method 16

Internal grinding machines

The hydraulic system, the chuck headstock mechanism and spindle bearings, the tailstock spindle bearings and the ways of the internal grinding machine are subject to treatment. The purpose is restorative repair and wear protection without taking the machine out of service for repair and without disassembling the units.

Method 17

Centerless Grinding Machines

The treatment applies to serviceable mechanisms of centerless grinding machines: the hydraulic system, the mechanisms of the grinding wheel head and the regulating wheel head, the gearbox of the dressing unit and the speed gearbox mechanism. The purpose is restorative repair and wear protection through staged introduction of the gel into the standard oil without changing the oil and without disassembly.

Method 18

Jig Boring Machines

The procedure describes the treatment of serviceable mechanisms of jig boring machines — the spindle unit, the main drive, the hydraulic system and the ways — with XADO revitalizant gels without oil change and without disassembly. The purpose of the treatment is to restore the working surfaces and protect them from further wear under normal operating conditions.

Method 19

Forging hammers, presses and dies

The units subject to treatment are those of forging hammers, presses and dies: the compressor of the pneumatic hammer, the hydraulic system of hydraulic hammers and presses, the main-motion cylinder and the guideways. The purpose is to restore working surfaces and protect them against further wear under normal operating conditions.

Method 20

Industrial diesel engines

Restorative repair and wear protection of serviceable industrial-purpose diesel engines with an oil system capacity of more than 30 l by introducing the revitalizant gel into the standard oil in stages without disassembling the engine. Treatment of the fuel system in parallel is recommended.

Method 21

Diesel engines with up to 30 l of oil

The procedure describes a three-stage treatment of serviceable diesel internal combustion engines with an oil system capacity of up to 30 l using XADO revitalizant gel without changing the oil or disassembly. The purpose is to restore the engine's operating parameters and to protect the friction pairs against further wear under normal operating conditions.

Method 22

Gasoline four-stroke engines

Restorative repair and wear protection of operable gasoline four-stroke internal combustion engines with an oil system capacity of up to 30 l, without taking the unit out of service for repair and without disassembly. The gel is introduced into the standard oil in three stages without an oil change; if required, the fuel system is treated in parallel.

Method 23

Two-stroke engines

Treatment applies to serviceable two-stroke engines of motorcycles, outboard motors, and household equipment. XADO revitalizant gel for household and motorcycle equipment is introduced in stages using three sachets — into the fuel tank or into the oil system, depending on the design of the fuel and lubrication systems.

Method 24

Engine Fuel Systems

The fuel systems of diesel and petrol engines are treated by a single addition of XADO revitalizant gel for fuel equipment into the fuel tank. The purpose is restorative repair and wear protection of fuel equipment components without disassembly, under normal operating conditions.
